Corporate Outing

April 29th, 2007

I feel so sad.. so many things that made me sad.Hmmmm... Siemens, our company held our first company outing. It will be at RoseGold Resort at Calatagan Batangas, just a 2-3 hours drive from Manila. I'm excited to join, unfortunately I don't have the time , I have a shift and my supervisor didn't even permits me to be absent or even go on half day. And so I just admit not to come rather to be frustrated that I was not able to come and join them, even deep inside, I want to be there *i love that exciting moments.. roadtrips..uhmmpp* The second bus for Batangas where our corporate outing will be held just departed here at Eastwood. There will still be 12:15 bus stop for the outing but I can't still come since my shift ends 1pm. So sad!! And so with my frustration I decided to treat myself a cup of ice cream in Haagen Dozs on Eastwood (just to pamper my broken heart..ahem...) Anyway I think of it as a rest as well even if I will be on leave the following week. I just received a text from my colleague that they already arrived in the place. It made me melt, how I wish I'm there. Anyway Tagaytay is better..

Kuya

April 23rd, 2007

Eversince I was a kid I dreamed of having a "kuya", a brother who will take care of me like a big brother for his li'l sister ,a who will pacify me when I cry , who will fight for me, who will screen for my suitors.. hehe and watch me walk in the isle on my wedding. Hay.. *feeling ko sobrang dreamer na tlga ako.. as if that things will happen for a girl who used  to be an unica hija.. But like other says, dreams do came true.(parang song un ah..)

I can say... maybe luckily my prayers was answered, five years ago. I met a "kuya" in the name of Kuya Bhot, sobrang saya talaga. I feel like I'm a baby sister to him. He used to asked me  if I'm ok, if I feel something wrong, or someone bothers me..  (Sobrang bait talaga at maalaga) I remember the time when I even asked him to buy me a pack of napkin. * dba? sobrang nakakahiya.   but since he's my kuya, he'll do everything for me as her baby sister. Oh, before I forgot, my Kuya Bhot had 2 siblings and they are all boys, so he was also excited to have a little sister like me. So when our worlds met, dream came true talaga..

One more thing and maybe one of the things I  miss about him, *yung pagiging concern niya sa lovelife ko --- to the point that if a guy courts me, he'll make sure that he is the one that suites  me. He scares my two unforgettable suitors..haha! Just kidding medyo ilang lang sila.

In the midst of my happiness I didn't know that my kuya will leave me  that soon. I felt sad ofcourse, kasi syempre *feeling ko dream come true na nga eh. Our highschool graduation plus some other factors somehow ended my dreams,  we part ways,  I went to college and in time we  lost communication. Many things happened in the five years of our lives. I finished my college and he as well.  I heard news about him, but I want him to be happy as well with his own family. Yes, he got married, now he already had 4 years old son, if I'm not mistaken.

I miss my Kuya Bhot ,  I miss the times he used to take care of me like a little sister, I miss the times when we fought and he almost cried..hehe.. I miss our bondings.. our laughter.. our tears... our memories.. our friendship...

Just recently, I received a comment from him on friendster, and honestly, I cried. I do  because I miss those times when my dream did  came true, I felt like reminiscing all those times..  So sad that you have to part with ways and get communicated again. Just then I realized that people come and go, you can't hold them in your two hands, you have to let them find life.

So many good memories to share, but baka magflood lang ang blog ko. I just want to share that somehow, having a "kuya" was indeed a good experience, though biologically we're not  of the same raise. We still remain good friends.

It was 11 o'clock in the evening tonight, I  received a text message from him. It made me smile, because I knew he remembered me, and I know somehow..... in time, friendship never fades, it remains forever...

Baguio City

April 16th, 2007

It took us 5 hours travel from Manila to Baguio via de luxe bus.We arrived at Baguio at exactly 4am on my watch.I can barely feel how cold the place is and how warm the people are to welcome us.We tried to check some hotel to stay with until someone approached us and gave some folders to check with for the hotels available. We stayed at Rosalinda Mansion, it was a pink house with hanging plants on its "baranda". The room we rent was located on the 6th floor which is just  suited for 2 persons with comfort room and television inside, though it may be a bit expensive for P800 bucks for a day ,  not bad as long as we had bed to sleep over that night and on the other day.One thing more, it is near  the good places to visit, such as the grotto and strawberry farm.

The first iterinary we had that next morning was Burnharm park. We rode a taxi from and to places we visited. And take note taxi rates are just enough, compare here in Manila, imagine that flat rate was only P25. I guess the expensive fare we have was only P75 from the house we rent up to strawberry farm, imagine that, Where will the P75 take me if am here in Manila? It was 10am when we reached Burnham, the park was so cold.A lot of lovers and family having picnic and picture taking, like we do.. Then we went to SM Baguio to have our lunch. The mall was like the usual  mall here in Manila, and the location of the place was the best.

After lunch, we went to Mines View Park, which was like 500km from the mall. Taxi drivers are very friendly and accommodating. They offer warmwelcome tourist like us. Its 1:30pm when we arrived at Mines View, like the usual we took pictures there with Douglas, douglasthe 4 years old dog which is soooo cute, and the pink horse, *i don't know his name..haha!* According to my tita, Mines view is one of the cool place to visit before, excluding the tiangge around, now it seems like a souvenir shop already. She even said that before there are still some Igorrots there who used to dance when you throw some coins on them, but  Igorrots were also gone. We also bought some souvenir items and foods that were known in Baguio such as strawberry jam*hmmm my favorite.., peanut brittle, lengua de gato and a lot more.. We also drop by to Good Shepard house, the place of nuns who also sell foods items

From Mines View, went to Botanical Garden and have some pictures on some Igorrots which you have to donate while you have pictures with them, yet I awe some donations to them *nakakaawa din kasi*.. The place was also good specially when you love flowers like I do.

Wright park is just a 10 minutes walk from Botanical. You can see different horses which is for rent in the park, they also have a 100 steps stairs like in the grotto going to the top until you reach The Mansion. When you reached the top of the park, it will lead you to the beautiful flowers that lies on the river along the way to The Mansion. Moreover, The Mansion is the place where PGMA stayed during holy week.It was 5pm when we decided to go home, *kse sobrang nkkpagod..hehe*

We just bought our food on the house next to where we rent for our dinner.Good enough that my Tita Lyn, brought her anito plate and thermos with her (grabe..super girl scout tlga c tita!hehe..) We watch some soap operas *especially with my favorite Travis and Jasmin of Sana Maulit Muli *hehe* I like their love team especially Travis who's a look-a-like of someone dear to me(hmmm.. cno un? chismax ito?! the who???) Anyway, going back, the next morning the next target we had was the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad Benguet. It was the best, you can pick some strawberries and take note,FRESH ones..

I bought a basket of strawberries for only P120 bucks. From strawberry farm, we move to the next iterinary which is the Tam-awan Village, it's was a zigzag view going there. This is where you can see a kinda' rural place to live in- it has some "kubos" with different names which they also offer to rent if you want to feel like in the province atmosphere. I love their hanging bridge composed of bamboos..

The last stop we had was The Lourdes Grotto, the 352 steps stairs on the top was the grotto where people are praying.  It was already 10am after we finished all the target iterinary for that day. We ate at Greenwich, go home and have a 30 minutes rest on the room which we rent. We left the house at 11am, rode a taxi going to bus terminal. We arrived at 11:25 am and luckily was able to make up on the 12nn trip.

It took us 7 hours going back to Manila due to traffic. In behalf I would like to extend my thanks to  people in Baguio who gave us their warm welcome and great accomodation. My stay in Baguio is short but memorable. It was one of the unforgettable event I would like to keep on my treasure box. I hope that I will be able to visit Baguio again, most probably next year.

...til next time Baguio City...
